Our counter is open for in-person questions on Mondays, Tuesdays, & Wednesdays from 9:00am - 12:00pm at Sausalito City Hall.
All Planning submittals are digital.
Planning Applications
- General Development Application: Use this form for all discretionary and non-discretionary applications such as Design Review Permits, Sign Permits, and Conditional Use Permits; the form contains a list of all Planning applications offered by the Planning Division.
- Planning Permit Application Submittal Requirements: This form is required for all discretionary and non-discretionary permit applications.
- Residential Site Data Table: This form is required for all residential project applications.
- Commercial Site Data Table: This form is required for all commercial project applications.
- Occupational Use Permit Application: If you are operating a business in Sausalito, you must first apply for an Occupational Use Permit. Approval of this form is required prior to the issuance of a City of Sausalito Business License. An Occupational Use Permit is required whenever a business/occupational use is established in a new location or tenant space, or when an existing business/occupational use changes its location or changes the size of its floor area or land area. NOTE: Sausalito Municipal Code defines "business" to include ALL occupational uses, whether or not operated for profit.
- Zoning Permit Application: Most permits that require a Building Permit, will require a Zoning Permit. Please use this form for all Zoning Permit applications.
- Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Permit Application: Use this form to construct a new ADU or to convert space into a legal ADU or JADU.
- Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Self-Assessment Checklist: Use this form to legalize an ADU built prior to 2020.
- Sausalito SB 330 Preliminary Application Form: Use this form to apply for an SB 330 project.
