  • Indoor Restaurant Dining Halted Due to COVID-19

    After being added to the State of California’s watchlist on Friday, July 3, Marin County’s COVID-19 numbers did not improve. Effective 11:59 p.m. Sunday, July 5, indoor dining will not be allowed for a minimum of three weeks in Marin because of the ongoing public health emergency.

  • Temporary On-Street Dining Begins on Caledonia Street

    The high winds that have been buffeting Sausalito finally died down just enough for temporary on-street dining to begin along Caledonia Street's "restaurant row" at lunchtime on Friday, July 3. The regular schedule will be dinner on Thursdays and lunch and dinner on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

  • High Winds Delay Opening of On-Street Dining on Caledonia Street

    High winds have delayed the scheduled opening of on-street dining on the block of Caledonia Street between Pine and Johnson streets. Weather permitting, on-street service will get underway on Thursday, July 2.

    Due to elevated COVID-19 cases and hospitalization rates, Marin County Public Health has decided to postpone the reopening of some of the businesses and activities that had been slated to resume on Monday, June 29.

  • 4th of July Festivities Canceled, Hoped to Return in 2021

    In late April, the City of Sausalito made the sad announcement that this year's 4th of July festivities would be canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Typical annual events include a morning parade, an afternoon picnic, and a concert and fireworks in the evening.

    New public health guidelines for social bubbles went into effect for Marin County on Monday, June 22. The new guidelines are intended to allow people to expand their social circle beyond the members of their household.

  • City Council to Consider 2020-21 Budget, Emergency Generators at June 23 Meeting

    The City budget for fiscal year 2020-21 and emergency backup power sources will be the public hearing items at the City Council meeting on Tuesday, June 23. The meeting is being held virtually on Zoom, with the open session of the meeting scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

  • WNBA Hall of Famer Brings Basketball Camp to Sausalito from June 22 to July 10

    The newest summer camp offering from Sausalito Parks and Recreation is Azzi Academy Summer Basketball Camp. Children in grades 1-8 are invited to join WNBA Hall of Fame inductee and Olympic gold medalist Jennifer Azzi and team for three weeks of fun from June 22 to July 10.

  • On-Street Dining on Caledonia Street Delayed

    On-street dining on the block of Caledonia Street between Pine and Johnson streets has been delayed until the participating restaurants are able to obtain proper licensing from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC).
