    Regarding the pungent smell emanating from Dunphy Park on Friday, November 1, the Public Works Department reports the following: "The contractor is amending existing soil with compost to improve the planting soil per the project specifications.

  • Tickets for Breakfast with Santa on Sale November 4

    Santa's coming! He's making a special trip to the Sausalito Yacht Club on Saturday, December 7 to eat breakfast with you and your family. It will be a magical morning where kids make holiday crafts and visit with Santa while elves prepare a delicious breakfast of pancakes and sausage.

  • Eighty Volunteers Plant Trees and Shrubs at MLK Athletic Field

    Eighty volunteers of all ages planted 94 trees and shrubs at the MLK Athletic Field on Saturday, October 12 as part of the first phase of tree planting at MLK Park. The project was organized by local nonprofit Sausalito Beautiful in conjunction with the Parks and Recreation Department.

  • Grand Opening for Ice House Plaza on October 26

    All are invited to attend the grand opening of the new Ice House Plaza in downtown Sausalito from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26. The new plaza fronts Bridgeway on City land adjacent to the Ice House Museum and Visitor Center at the corner of Bay Street and Bridgeway.

  • Jazz and Blues by the Bay to Expand Musical Offerings in 2020

    Beginning in 2020, Sausalito's summertime Jazz and Blues by the Bay concert series will begin including a few bands on the schedule that are not classified as jazz or blues.

    Sausalito's Parks and Recreation Department is proud to present another year of Halloween Sausalito. Ghouls, goblins, and gremlins of all ages will take over Caledonia Street, Robin Sweeny Park, and the City Hall Game Room on Thursday, October 31.

  • Help Plant Trees at MLK Park on Saturday, October 12

    Volunteers are needed for the first phase of tree planting at MLK Park from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12. At this special event sponsored by the City of Sausalito and Sausalito Beautiful, more than 100 trees and shrubs will be planted around the perimeter of the MLK Athletic Field.

    For Outdoor Movie Night this fall, the Parks and Recreation Department will present "Top Gun" (1986, 100 minutes) at Gabrielson Park on Friday, October 18. The movie will begin when the sun goes down at approximately 6:30 p.m.
