Pickleball Classes are listed on RecDesk.  You'll need to create an account or log in to your account to register for classes. Click on Programs, Adult classes, and filter to Pickleball.

Classes are taught by Pickleball Organized at our newly refurbished Marinship Pickleball Courts. Equipment is available to borrow for class participants. 

Refunds or Make-Up Classes: Once the program begins, no refunds will be given. This program does not offer make-ups, pro-rated reimbursements, or similar for missed days. It is important to attend all 8 sessions – skills and curriculum build weekly. Learn and connect as a group and build community around this exciting and fun sport! Thank you for your understanding.

Weather: If class is cancelled due to weather, a make-up class will be scheduled the following week. There will be no refunds so please reserve that date.

Private Lessons

Looking for individual or group pickleball lessons? Contact Karla, our local PPR Certified Pickleball Instructor with several years of experience teaching in Marin . Her rate is $130 an hour for up to 4 people. All equipment provided. Karla teaches all levels from beginner to advanced and brings lots of fun energy to the court while you learn. Reach out to her directly to set up a lesson via email or 310-947-9394. 

*Marinship members may book a lesson at Marinship Courts. Non-member lessons will be at MLK courts. 

Drop-in Pickleball

Indoor Drop-in Pickleball is on Fridays 7:00p - 10:00p in the MLK Gym at 610 Coloma St, Sausalito. You can pre-register online up until the end of session or pay $5 cash upon entry. This is unfacilitated play; all levels welcome to socialize and practice your skills. 

*Indoor Drop-in Pickleball will not be held on any holiday weekends.*

•  The schedule for the remainder of the year is TBD based on attendance 

Outdoor unfacilitated drop-in play may take place daily 9am-Noon at MLK courts. See below for "rotational play" rules.

Do you live in the 94965 and want to try pickleball, but don't have a paddle or balls? Borrow them from the Sausalito Library of Things.

Public Open Play: 8:00am – 9:00am; 12:00pm – Sunset (Daily)

• Courts are open to the public on a first come first serve basis.
  • Approved reservations and programs supersede any open public play.
• Each game on each court is played to 11, win by 2.
• Time limit: 60 minutes of uninterrupted play for singles and doubles
• If players are waiting, please consider rotating in players.

Rotational Play: 9:00am – 12:00pm (Daily)

• Reservations, league play, or lessons are not permitted during Rotational Play.
• Each game on each court is played to 11, win by 2.
• Drop-in players will place their rackets in groups of up to 4 paddles per group. Paddle groups will be placed on numbered hooks outside the courts. The order of the groups is by first arrival. 
• Upon completion of a game on a court:
  • If less than 4 players are waiting, 1 or 2 of the winners stay on the court for up to 3 matches.
  • If 4 or more players are waiting, rotate all 4 players onto the court.
  • A player may not play more than 3 consecutive games when others are waiting.

Marinship Courts

Please visit Sausalito.gov/Marinship for details or to purchase a membership. 2025 Marinship Court memberships are currently sold out. Please email recreation@sausalito.gov to request to be put on a waitlist.
