  • Construction on Santa Rosa Avenue on July 12

    Santa Rosa Avenue will be closed between San Carlos Avenue and Glen Drive from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12 so that a PG&E contractor can replace a copper gas-service pipe with a plastic pipe.

    On Tuesday, July 2, Wednesday, July 3, and Monday, July 8, a contractor for the Marin Municipal Water District will install permanent asphalt paving to repair northbound Bridgeway just south of its intersection with Coloma Street.

    A break in a 12-inch, cast-iron water main belonging to the Marin Municipal Water District disrupted traffic and flooded businesses in the vicinity of 2658 Bridgeway on Saturday, June 15.

    The expanded program means that even if Sausalito is not directly threatened by a wildfire in Southern Marin, Sausalito residents may be without power for an extended period if our power comes from a line that passes through an area experiencing extreme fire danger conditions.

    On Saturday, July 27, the Southern Marin Fire Protection District will conduct a voluntary emergency evacuation drill for Sausalito neighborhoods north of Marin Avenue and west of Bridgeway. The houseboat communities to the north of Sausalito will also be included in the drill.

    Myles Gipson was arrested and booked into the Marin County Jail for vehicle theft, grand theft, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being a felon in possession of a stun gun.

    At approximately 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, the Sausalito Police Department received an alert from its license plate recognition cameras of a stolen vehicle entering Sausalito from the 4000 block of Bridgeway.
