About Animal Control in Sausalito

  • The proximity of Sausalito to the beautiful Golden Gate National Recreational Area means our citizens and their domestic animal companions will be exposed to a variety of local wildlife
  • To help protect our wildlife, ourselves and our animals, the City of Sausalito has a number of Municipal Code sections regarding animal control

  • There are some criteria to consider before calling the police; please consult the Sausalito Municipal Code section on habitual animal noise before you call

  • Marin Humane maintains a stray animal hotline that is updated every night after 6:00 p.m. and includes animals brought to the shelter during the previous 48 hours.
