About The Sausalito Police Department's VIPS

  • The Sausalito Police Department Volunteers In Public Safety (VIPS) program is a cooperative effort between the Sausalito Police Department, Southern Marin Fire Department, Sausalito residents and businesses, and other concerned members of the public
  • VIPS members are committed to assisting the Sausalito Police Department and Southern Marin Fire Department in their goals of:
    • Enhancing community safety
    • Protecting life and property
    • Reducing the impact of crime
    • Working with the community
  • Our VIPS help resolve problems in our community using every available resource, including organizational partnerships, with the goal of long-term solutions

How To Apply

  • To be eligible to become a Sausalito Volunteer in Public Safety (VIPS), you must first complete the Sausalito Police Department's Citizen's Police Academy
