Policies and Training Materials (SB 978)
Senate Bill 978 took effect January 1, 2020, and added Penal Code § 13650. It requires every California law enforcement agency to post on its website its current standards, policies, practices, operating procedures, and education and training materials that would otherwise be available to the public under the California Public Records Act.
In keeping with this requirement and our commitment to transparency, the Sausalito Police Department posts the following:

Portions of certain documents may be withheld or redacted where the Public Records Act or other law exempts them from disclosure. This includes material that would compromise officer or public safety, or the security of ongoing investigations or tactical operations.
