  • Get Ready for Winter Storms in Sausalito

  • Closure on San Carlos Avenue on December 13

    San Carlos Avenue will be closed just south of the intersection with Glen Drive and Harrison Avenue for the entire day on Friday, December 13 for a gas service retrofit.

  • Construction on Cloud View Road November 21 and 22

    A section of Cloud View Road adjacent to the intersection with Prospect Avenue will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21 and Friday, November 22, 2019.

  • Pungent Smell from Dunphy Park Project is Compost

    Regarding the pungent smell emanating from Dunphy Park on Friday, November 1, the Public Works Department reports the following: "The contractor is amending existing soil with compost to improve the planting soil per the project specifications.

  • No Power Shutoffs in 7-Day Forecast

    PG&E is not currently expecting any Public Safety Power Shutoffs through Thursday, November 7, according to the company's seven-day forecast of shutoff potential in nine geographic zones. Marin County is in Zone 3.

  • City Streets Scheduled for Vegetation Management in November

    The Southern Marin Fire Protection District has begun a new road clearance project to remove overgrown vegetation from Sausalito streets. Removing excess vegetation improves access for emergency vehicles and reduces the amount of fuel available to a wildfire.

  • City to Explore Sewer Consolidation with Sanitary District

    At its meeting on October 22, the City Council gave the go-ahead for a preliminary study of the feasibility of merging Sausalito's sewer infrastructure and operations with the Sausalito-Marin City Sanitary District.

  • October 31 Closure on Sausalito Boulevard

    On Thursday, October 31, Sausalito Boulevard will be closed in the vicinity of #406/408 to allow geotechnical investigation of the road. This is the location of the February mudflow.

  • Mudflow Debris Removal Could Be Finished by Early November

    The removal of debris from the site of the February 14 mudflow in Hurricane Gulch is on track to be completed by early November 2019. Removal work began on September 30.

  • Grand Opening for Ice House Plaza on October 26

    All are invited to attend the grand opening of the new Ice House Plaza in downtown Sausalito from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26. The new plaza fronts Bridgeway on City land adjacent to the Ice House Museum and Visitor Center at the corner of Bay Street and Bridgeway.

  • Evening and Overnight Closures to Alexander Avenue On-Ramp: October 18-25

    Motorists are encouraged to use the on-ramps to northbound Highway 101 at Bridgeway and Monte Mar Drive during construction hours and follow any detour notifications.
