About the February 14 Mudflow
- A mudflow struck Sausalito's Hurricane Gulch neighborhood in the early morning of Thursday, February 14, 2019. (map of area)
- The mudflow originated upslope of Sausalito Boulevard on land belonging to the National Park Service.
- The slide consisted of approximately 4,000 cubic yards of earth and debris.
- The fast-moving earth and debris swept downhill, crossing Sausalito Boulevard and carrying with it the duplex at 406/408.
- The house at 57 Crescent Avenue was destroyed at the bottom of the slope.
- There were no fatalities as a result of the mudflow.
