  • Mudflow Debris Removal Underway

    On September 30, City contractor Resource Environmental began collecting, loading, and hauling away debris from the site of the mudflow that struck the Hurricane Gulch neighborhood in February 2019. Work hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Help Plant Trees at MLK Park on Saturday, October 12

    Volunteers are needed for the first phase of tree planting at MLK Park from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12. At this special event sponsored by the City of Sausalito and Sausalito Beautiful, more than 100 trees and shrubs will be planted around the perimeter of the MLK Athletic Field.

    For Outdoor Movie Night this fall, the Parks and Recreation Department will present "Top Gun" (1986, 100 minutes) at Gabrielson Park on Friday, October 18. The movie will begin when the sun goes down at approximately 6:30 p.m.

    On Sunday, September 22, more than 300 people attended a celebration of life in Gabrielson Park for former Mayor Herbert A. "Herbie" Weiner (1941-2019). The event featured 17 speakers, followed by a reception with ice cream and other refreshments donated by local businesses.

  • Improvements to Parking Lot #2 Expected to Begin in Mid-October
