Renting a park/facility and hosting an event on city property
Reservations can be made online and approval is required for rooms and for parties of 25+ people in a park. We will reach out to you once we receive your rental request or approve your rental and email an invoice. Feel free to follow up with us: 415-289-4152 or recreation@sausalito.gov.
Approval is not required for Tennis, Pickleball, Volleyball, Outdoor Basketball, or Bocce Court rentals. For those, you are able to reserve and pay online now, up to 90 days in advance.
Other facilities are available to rent 6 months in advance. If you'd like to rent prior to that for a special event, contact us.
Click here to check availability and request a booking. You will need to create a new account or sign in to RecDesk to make a reservation.
Rental hourly rates run from $16 to $105 an hour depending on location, facility, and renter category. Click here to view a list of all Parks and Facilities Rental Fees
- If you'd like to serve alcohol at your event
- You must rent one of our facilities and add the $50 alcohol permit to your reservation.
- If you want to have a bounce house at your event
- You need to rent Dunphy Gazebo, MLK field, or MLK basketball court. Bounce houses are not allowed at other locations. Dunphy is the only one with electricity (for an additional $25 fee). Bounce houses at MLK will require a generator.
- You must send us a Certificate of Insurance and an endorsement from the bounce house company by two weeks before the event date. Please email recreation@sausalito.gov for more details and specific wording to be included in the endorsement or ask us for the companies who we already have a current copy of this from.
- A liability transfer waiver must be completed.
Types of Renters:

- Time saving tip: If you'd like to rent space for ongoing programming, submit your rental request for the first day of your rental and add additional days/time frames in the notes and we can add the entire schedule to your request on our end.
If your event will have 50+ attendees, we require event insurance. You can find a policy that fits your needs and automatically abides by our requirements here.
